Did I win but overpay ?
I would like to imagine that we all like to win than to lose and there can be several reasons for that . One reason may be that people want to associate with winners. In order to win, there are situations when we start to influence or change the environment in such a way that the statement “Heads I win tails you lose” starts to appear more real and not remain merely as a quote you read in some book or heard in a movie.
We may get excited but then I hope we don’t get too excited . In an effort to win, I would imagine that we may tend to overpay for stuff, stuff that should never be worth the equivalent of what we paid for. If you think that I am talking in too much of abstract, please nod your head and then read further as I am going to give an example.
My example is of an auction.
I think sometimes we pay too much for stuff….
Did we win? The answer is Yes.
Did we overpay ? The answer is still yes.
Am I cursed although I won ….? Perhaps …Where do I draw the line ?
I am still looking for an answer and hope to find an answer in the last place i look.
