Is there a difference between place value and face value?
I would say yes and the first thing that comes to mind is in the world of math. For Example; lets consider the number 9567.
The face value of 9 is 9 but the place value of 9 is 9000. On the other hand, we may notice that 7 that has the same face value and place value.
Identifying meanings to numbers maybe easy when we apply the meanings to the world of mathematics but is it possible to apply the same principle in the real world?
I would say yes because the impact of what we say may differ depending upon where we say what we say(said).
What say you?
