Does pizza have all food groups ?
Whatever we eat , if we need to be healthy then we need to eat healthy and what that means is that our food should have components from all food groups.
The basic food groups can be color coded :
Red (protein,meat)
Yellow (Carbohydrates,oil,cheese)
Green (Vegetables and Fruits)
The idea is to eat enough green but we also want to balance our food with the food from the various groups.
One of my friends is a big fan of Pizza as pizza has a representation in all the food groups
1) Red- toppings can be rich in protein
2) yellow- grains and crust
3) Green- toppings can have green
Apparently pizza can also be eaten at various times of the day
1) served hot- for dinner
2) served cold – in the morning
3) served medium warm- reheat in the afternoon
If the above was a cycle, the cycle could be repeated.
