10 minutes into the movie

I usually buy  movies but I also like to rent movies simply because there are deals out there like “rent one rent one free“. When I watch the movies, I have this desire to watch more movies and sometimes watch the same movie more than once. Sometimes I have this desire to go visit these romantic places where the movie were shot and you start enjoying the lines from the movie that made the movie famous.

Now the thing about movies is that some people watch the entire movie whereas some people watch the movie in installments ( there I said it).

You will find people entering a room after 10 minutes of the movie and then after another 30 minutes ask the question, ” what happened to James Bond?”  and the answer to the question may be in the first 10 minutes of the movie. Please note here that 10 minutes is just a number here and could be 15 minutes or 30 minutes or more ….depending upon the situation.

The YALM is that in real life people enter the conversation in the middle of the conversation and may not have any clue as to what is happening simply because they missed the first part of the conversation.

The risk here is that the judgement calls people make based upon what they see and perceive are often misdirected. The next time you see someone making such a call, you would know instantly as to what happened behind the scenes. The dilemma that remains unsolved is that people dont know how much of the movie (figuratively speaking) they missed out (10 minutes , 15 minutes, 30 minutes…)
