When do you listen to blues?

When i hear blues, the first thing that comes to my mind is Bob Marley and the next thing that keeps humming in my ears is the reggae ”Buffalo soldiers..”

When i mentioned the song to some friends then they were saying,”dude , you are so blue” .

I don’t know what that means…

…but I do know that Bob Marley is regarded as one of the greatest musicians of all times as his album named Exodus was one of the greatest albums of the 20th century.

However; i do not know that the genre of the songs or reggae’s were closely connected to blues until I started listening to the songs more often.

Now , I wonder as to why I listen to the blues when I am feeling blue and if there is a hidden connection somewhere…but I do know that my face lites up sooner than later.
