Do you take time for yourself?

We keep planning for the future although we know that sometimes we have to sacrifice today for a better tomorrow. While planning for the future we may want to remember the following points in mind

1) Take time off for yourself.

2) Do things that make you lighten up and smile.

3) Do the things you love.

4) Love and enjoy what you do.

5) The key is to strike a balance.

6) The balance kicks in based on our choices we make.

7) Sometimes do things opposite of what you do at work.

8) Learn and practise to unwind at least once a week.

9) Leave work on time for a family dinner together.

10) Put your kids first before your own needs.

11) Develop your boundaries and communicate to your family and peers.

12) Coordinate your mental and physical coordinates. When in a business meeting, be at the meeting and when answering your family, be there with your family.

13) Work and Family can have some similarities and some differences and that is OK.

14) Pay attention to your family and do what your family needs wholeheartedly and not half heartedly just because you have to do one more chore.

15) Treat your personal appointments as seriously as your business appointments.

Even if we follow all these rules , we may still fail but that is OK as long as you are learning which brings me to my final rule for my post.

16) Don’t quit now as it is perhaps too late in the game, for all your efforts will go waste if you quit now but on the other hand go ahead and quit if you have already considered quitting and you don’t gain pleasure in your chosen activity for some reason.
