Are you taller than your dad?
Lets pretend that your dad’s height is 5 foot 6 inches and you are 6 foot tall? Would you say that you are tall like your dad or should I say taller than your dad? I would say if we were to take the height literally then the answer is yes, you are tall and perhaps taller than your dad. However; if we start exploring the question in a different light ( i mean perspective) then would you be really taller than your dad ? Several questions come to mind:
1) Are you a better human being like your dad?
2) Are you smarter like your dad ?
3) Do you listen like your dad?
4) Are you responsible like your dad
5) Do you learn like your dad ?
6) Do you share like your dad?
7) Are you rich (literally and perhaps symbolically) like your dad ?
8) Can you teach like your dad ?
9) Do you support ideas like your dad?
I could come up with many more similes and I am sure you can too, but you get the idea of my post. What we do makes people remember us and often the comparison may start with our parents. We may be successful in 1 of the many fields that our dad may not be but then our dad may still be better than us in so many fields, which brings me to my next question
10) Are you tall like your dad ?
