Did you celebrate the Square Root Day
We have newer ways to celebrate occasions and today is 3rd of March, 2009. If we were to apply the date in the format MM/DD/YY then we would get 03/03/09.
The square root of 9 is 3 and hence the day and month is the square root of the year.
There are 9 possible combinations when we take a 2 digit year into perspective:
01 January 01
02 February 04
03 March 09
04 April 16
05 May 25
06 June 36
07 July 49
08 August 64
09 September 81
if we were to apply 10 in the above equation, we would get
10 October 100
but then we would get a three digit year and hence a new century
in our example, our date would translate into 10 October 2100, or if we were to look back a century,
10 October 2000
Thanks KR
