Did you remember the milk ?

Our life is full of events and we may find that some of the events are random whereas some of the events seem to be organized as in the events follow a pattern. We deal better with the events that seem to be organized as we know the next event in the sequence of events but we may be hesitant when we do not know what the next sequence of events will be.

Does this mean that we give up and let the random events take control.

My answer is NO, primarily because our awareness may be our best defense and we need to seek and find ways to manage the tasks.

Well; one website that helps us meet the need and the above requirement is remember the milk.

This website helps us manage the tasks in our everyday life, including the tasks from both personal and professional life. The cool thing I like is there are interfaces to the website from my Iphone ( and I really love my Iphone). What this means is that you can update a task on the website and the task is updated on the cloud ( I plan to talk about the cloud in a later post) and hence the next time you use your application on the iphone, you can see your tasks on the iphone. The reverse of what i said is true. If you update a task on your iphone, you can see the same task when you log into the website.

Does it get cooler than that ?

The YALM here is that as we surf into the future we will see

1) more and more applications that manage the cloud and the data will be stored in the cloud in one place. Fundamentally, we are using the concepts of cloud computing.

2) more and more applications that provide the same service to fetch the data mentioned in the cloud {see 1) above} to serve our needs  and we will have different mechanisms to tap into the cloud [say a browser on the desktop, a browser on the laptop, a browser on your iphone or smartphone]. Fundamentally, we are using the concepts of software as a service (SAAS).

There are different services to remember the milk. The beauty of the concept of SAAS is that you could choose the service you like to serve your needs.
