Where do we draw the line ?

I know that drawing is an art and we can draw the lines that appear to be straight at some times and curved at other times. The symbolic meaning of drawing the line is related to defining the scope or identifying the boundaries when the scope or boundaries are not well defined or defined by someone else than us.

How do we know where to draw the line and when do we draw a line?

I think that defining a scope of the problem at hand will help us identify the boundaries we face and once we know the boundaries, we can draw the line (although not literally !)

Once we know how to draw a line, we learn how to draw a box and the challenge appears to be solved. However; a new challenge pops up and the challenge is to think both inside and outside the box.
