Whats up with the school fundraisers?

If you know a kid who goes to school, you may have heard or seen the notices about the school fundraisers.

I am fine with the concept of raising money through the fundraisers in limited capacity. However, I am not sure if the concept of fundraisers is instilling good values and here are my reasons:

The fundraiser seems to sell products that are closer to end of life
The fundraiser seems to sell products that have a lower quality.
The fundraiser seems to be selling the product at prices that seem to be higher than the prices of the same product in the common market.
The fundraiser seeks personal and private information like names and addresses and I am not sure if the fundraiser can manage the records appropriately.
The fundraiser adds peer pressure among the kids as the kids who get the fundraisers done sooner may get an extra credit in the form of a sticker or a hat or a t-shirt.
The fundraiser may push the kid into a heartbroken state, as there is a possibility that the kid may not get the credit even after delivering substantial efforts.
The fundraiser may promote stalking behavior among kids as kids start stalking people outside general stores in order to generate more sales.
The fundraiser brainwashes the next generation by leveraging the school to increase sales and the kids may grow up with this mentality.
The fundraiser influences kids to throw money away and there is a possibility that kids may grow into financially irresponsible adults.

What say you?
