Have you heard a Borborygmus ?

The English language provides has a different figure of speech for different situations. The figure of speech used in this example is called as Onomatopoeia. Some examples of Onomatopoeia are click, buzz, oink, and meow. My understanding is that different languages have their own version of Onomatopoeia.

Borborygmus refers to a rumbling or gurgling sound caused by the movement of gas in the intestines. The tummy can produce this sound irrespective of the fact if one is hungry or not, although the sounds are commonly heard when one is hungry.

If you happen to hear Borborygmus, the likelihood that the person generating the sound is hungry is higher.
