Have you witnessed a shift in energy ?

I believe that we are like electrons and we travel in different orbits, perhaps at different points in time.
I am not sure if you remember about the SPDF orbitals in chemistry class, but the point is that when we shift from one orbit to another there is a shift of energy.

If there is energy generated then heat is generated and the reaction is exothermic and on the other hand if the energy is absorbed, then the reaction is endothermic.

The bottom line is that there is a shift in energy. Depending upon the magnitude of the energy and the alignment with our goal and direction, we may or may not feel the heat (pun intended).
