The importance of optimizing portion control
I have known several people who want to lose weight and they try several over the counter drugs that seem to be work for some time but stop working the moment you stop taking the drugs.
I think that the key to weight management is tuning and optimizing theĀ portion of food that we eat.
We may want to eat in lesser quantities so that our body can learn to eat in lesser amounts. However; we may want to pay attention to the calorie count as every pound we may lose or gain is directly proportional theĀ intake of food. Care should be given so that the amount of food and calories consumed does not fall below a certain threshold as then the body will learn to retain calories and we may end up gaining weight.
The significance of controlling our portion is the ability to manage our weight and promote a healthy lifestyle.
