Are you ready to balance your persuasion skills?
Irrespective of what roles and responsibility we have, we engage ourselves in situations where we persuade others and influence them, knowingly or unknowingly, into a living.
The ability to persuade is perhaps the most important skill one needs to apply in the world to get the job done. I also think that the ability to persuade involves active listening to what our internal and external customers have to say and hence is more important than critical technical skills. All one has to do is listen to the customer and they will tell you what issues they are currently having and what they need to manage the current issues.
Care should be injected while exercising the persuasion skills as there is a possibility that one may over-persuade.
The ability to persuade is a habit and can be developed over time.
