Does your Avatar represent a Specialist or a Generalist ?
We wear multiple hats every day to handle a multitude of problems. There are some issues when we have to dig deeper and some issues when we have to dig horizontally.
The people who dig deeper vertically can be called as a specialist and the people who end up digging horizontally can be called as a generalist.
A generalist may have a broader understanding of multiple subject matter but lesser knowledge of a topic by itself.
A specialist may be the subject matter of a particular subject but may not be aware of what is going on around the world.
A generalist may be less biased than a specialist as the generalist may be aware of multiple solutions to the same problem whereas a specialist may see the specialists way to be the solution.
Depending upon the Avatar we play and the problem at hand, we may want to wear the generalist hat to identify and define the problem and a specialist hat to solve the problem.
