Have you applied the 3 foot rule ?

The 3 foot rule states that, “if you were in proximity to someone who is within 3 foot to you, you may want to talk to them, if you don’t already know the person”. The assumption is that you may have already talked to the person, if you already knew the person.

The advantage of the 3 foot rule is that you can break the ice by applying the rule and kicks of networking in ways you may not have imagined before. for example; one of my friends applied the 3 foot rule while shopping in a mall and landed on an opportunity that may not have been possible.

The downside of the 3 foot rule is that not everyone may encourage the 3 foot rule depending upon their individual personality.
