Is appearance more important than character

Appearance primarily refers to perception and character primarily refers to reality. In the battle of perception and reality, the winner is usually perception. Hence; Appearance plays a more important role than character. People will first perceive based on the appearance before they will based on the character. Displaying Appearance is easier than displaying character. Displaying appearance is short-term whereas displaying character is useful in the long-term.
