You can use Synetics to create insight by connecting disconnected elements

Synetics is the approach of using analogies to connect elements that appear to be initially disconnected. Synetics can be used for brainstorming when the project you are working on appears to be hitting a wall. Synetics can introduce new insight and perspectives.

One way to leverage Synetics is to take what you have and rip it apart ( yes; this sounds destructive and dysfunctional at first but i promise you that the concept is beneficial in the long-run) into fundamental elements, apply multiple analogies and start putting together the individual blocks again. If you want you can compare your new output to your previous output and note down the differences.

I would like to warn you that sometimes you may find yourself with a totally new product, one that you may not have visualized at the start and that may be OK depending upon what your strategic goals are. However; if the new product does not resemble what you had in mind, then repeat the process, starting with the individual pieces and construct again.

I am sure that you will find what you are looking for.

Synetics can make the strange familiar and the familiar strange.

At first we may find that the approach is challenging like learning to ride a bicycle on a muddy track or swimming in the ocean, but with time the approach can prove to be one of your most powerful assets.
