Can the shortest distance be measured by a straight line?
The title of this post is quite intuitive and the answer to this question is ‘Yes’. Mathematically the answer sounds to be too simple to be true but the reality may sound to differ from the concept.
Extrapolating the concept to real life, i wonder what the parallel would be for the straight line. I was thinking the ‘truth’ but then is the answer as simple as it sounds and if yes why do people avoid the shorter path?
My reasoning is that if people were using truth to communicate between each other, then life would be easier and not difficult. For some reason, people avoid using the truth and choose alternates to the shorter route thus choosing the longer path and making life more complicated.
The YALM is that there are multiple paths to our destination and we may end up choosing a path that is not the shortest and this is OK as long as we know why we are taking the path.
